Today Greg and John are hanging drywall and I'm putting up more tile between watching Eric. We're all still sick (M, G, E) and working on low energy (M, G), but we're very excited to have a working shower again soon (well, it's working now, but to use it we need to clean the tub and put plastic up, or finish the tile).

I got a huge mutant charlie-horse in my right calf Thursday morning and it has just wrecked my calf muscle. It's sore to the touch nearly its entire length; I'm using heat, massage, and stretching to help it heal but it's going to take up to a week (or more) before it's back to normal. This, plus the muscle in my side/back/ribs that I pulled last night getting back into bed (a cough came on and I was in entirely the wrong position) is making movement a tad stressful but that's life. *shrug*

My minimal goal for this weekend is to get the drywall hung, the rest of the cement board hung and taped, and the tiles cut and placed (except for the window frame). The next step for the drywall will be to tape/mud, sand, remud, sand again, prime and paint it. The next step for the tile will be to grout, then seal the grout once it's dry. We still have to decide what to do with the interior of the window frame - I'm leaning towards tiling the sides to match the wall tile and putting a "sill" of marble or solid surface on the bottom. We'll probably need bullnose edge tile for the sides, and it will probably need to be wider than the 2" edging we have for the rest of the shower.

Edit: The drywall is complete except for a couple small areas (around the sink plumbing, at the sides of the tub from the edge to the ground, etc). Greg is finishing the cement board above the window. Once Eric wakes up, we'll do some cleanup (including putting the sink back) and head out to a friends' farewell party (they're moving to DC to join the dept of foreign affairs). Then it's home, Eric's bed, and probably more tiling for me. Tomorrow will be tiling exclusively, with Greg cutting and me laying tile. Once we clean the tub, we can put plastic in front of the tile and use our bathroom again, woot!
