The Christmas tree is up and decorated, and fenced to keep the kids out. We lit our third candle for advent tonight -- blowing them out is a highlight of Eric's evening.  Each advent we read one of two books about the Christmas story, whichever Eric chooses. Tonight he chose the simpler one with a recording of Silent Night. This is one we've read many times between last year and this.  When we're reading he often wants us to point to the words, but tonight he ran his finger under the words and Greg read what he pointed at.  Then Eric turned around and "read" us the first 2/3 of the story, getting at least the story right if not every word. This is the first time he's done either of those, to my knowledge.

Kyle is going down very well at 7:30p, but waking around 4:30am many mornings. The discernible reasons vary, from chewing on his hand (teething? hunger?) to having a wet diaper or being thirsty. We have stopped giving him formula at night, but keep a bottle of water in his room for drinks at night. We can often get him to go back to sleep until maybe 5:15 or 5:30, at which point I get up with him and do Cataclysm dailies. Someday I'd like to sleep a full night.
