We got the results of our genetic-risk ultrasound and bloodtest, and my risk of delivering a downs baby is lower than a 'normal' woman my age (1/223 vs 1/177), though I still fall into the "slightly elevated risk" category for being greater than 1/302, an arbitrary cutoff determined by whatever governing body determines these things. So, good news. :-) We still get to have a neonatologist (specialist) do our "fetal survey" ultrasound at 18-20 weeks, for "reassurance". This is the ultrasound where they measure bone lengths, find the various organs, look for the gender, etc. My risk for tri-somi is "very very low".
