Another new word: ks (keys). He also says "mah-nee" and I'm not sure if it means 'hungry', 'mommy', or something else entirely. He often says it in the kitchen when he's looking at food, but occasionally other times. No idea.
This weekend is gorgeous (clear, mid-to-high 80s, breezy) and it's been a loooooong winter it seems, so we're getting out at least on Saturday. So far, we've been to Great Brook Farm. We wandered around their grassy picnic area, threw pine needles and rocks in the pond, climbed on rocks, played with a ball and a frisbee, pointed out numbers on license plates, and ate lunch. Eric vetoed the eel sushi but loved the strawberries. Iffy on the bread, ham, and turkey; liked the provalone, iffy on the meunster.
This afternoon we're having friends over and we're going to go to Shedd's Park for a picnic dinner, then (probably) the ice cream stand, then home to put Eric to bed, after which the adults will hang out and probably play a game or two.
Also, Eric is apparently teething in his incisors. Fangs are supposed to come in last, after the rest of the molars -- except in baby vampires I guess. Best teething implement? Pizza crust.
