I've been really wanting to sit down and write a nice long blog post about various tidbits the kids are doing, how my job search is going, etc, but I just haven't had the brain or time. So here's a couple highlights:

- I have an interview on Wed with PatientKeeper. please pray
- Kyle has pushed thru his first tooth. Misery all around. Infant tylenol gone from shelves (thanks Johnson & Johnson!) but fortunately he can take childrens tylenol, 1/2 t. Searched our house for a way to give it to him, finally found a syringe with t markings.
- Eric is talking about monsters, bears, cobras and other scary things. Lots of being them. Lots of us fighting them off, lots of him banishing them. Being Rikki Tikki Tavi vs the "bad snake", etc. Age appropriate roleplay to deal with aggression, power over fear, etc.
- Eric is breaking words into sounds. Case in point: yesterday in the car he said the following:
"Dis. Mas. Dis. Mas. Mommy say Dis!"
"Dis."
"Say Mas."
"Mas."
"Say Dee."
"Say them!"
"Dis-mas-dee." Laughter ensues as we realize he has us saying Christmas Tree. Not sure if he meant it as a joke or what, but it was fun on quite a few levels. He was pleased that we laughed but didn't seem quite sure as to why. This illustrates, though, how he's breaking words into their component syllables, playing with how words sound and how they are built.
