After Eric's nap, we let him work out some kinks and then got in the car and headed for Meredith, another coastal town a bit further past Weirs Beach. We walked around the small downtown and a multi-level shopping cluster built in what could have been (but probably wasn't) an old (large) farmhouse. We had dinner there at a nice little Italian restaurant, where we had caesar salad, garlic bread with cheese, and veggie pizza. Eric was quite well behaved for his age and given the fact that we never asked if they had crayons for him to color with, so a main source of distraction was denied him.

On the way home, he spent some time chanting "a-nummy pi-ta" (yummy pizza) and then entertained Greg and I by sustaining "Aaaaah" on a particularly bumpy section of road. He seemed to like hearing his voice vibrate, and Greg and I couldn't help laughing.

Tomorrow we will hang out at the resort, mostly, with maybe a quick jaunt out to a nearby farm that claims to have a 'petting farm'. We'll have meals in, eating up the various leftovers that we've brought home and the remains of the food we brought with us. We'll head home either after lunch (during Eric's nap) or after dinner (during Eric's bedtime). Either way, we both have work tomorrow, so we can't get home too late.
